Batts

Batts are an airy and almost cloud-like, woollen type of fibre preparation where all the fibres lie arranged in all different directions and cross each other. These are best used for woollen types of spinning, like using the long draw for a warm and lofty woollen yarn. But it can also be used for worsted types of spinning, like using the short forward draw, for a semi-woollen yarn.

The batts listed will have one or more of the following:

   A single breed, or a breed blend, or animal/plant blends;

   Farm fibre (raw fleece from Canadian farms) I processed and/or hand dyed;

   Milled top or roving (from a commercial source), either in its natural color or hand dyed by me.

   Accents of plant fibres and/or artificial fibres.
